Meat production; number of slaughters and carcase weight per animal species

This table contains monthly figures on the production of meat by agricultural holdings. Information shall be given on the number of approved animals slaughtered and their carcase weight, per species. N.B. The large differences in the figures for 2001 compared to previous and subsequent years were caused by the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in March 2001 and the subsequent measures. Data available from: January 1990. Status of the figures: The monthly figures for one year remain provisional after first publication during that year. At the end of the year, the figures shall be definitive, which may have been adjusted on the basis of annual figures received and/or other improved figures. Amendments as of 29 June 2022: The monthly figures and the annual figures for 2021 are now final. The provisional figures for April 2022 have been added. The provisional figures for January 2022, February 2022 and March 2022 have been adjusted. When are new figures coming? New monthly figures will be available two months after the end of the reporting month.
