Mineral balance of agriculture

This table contains data on the soil balance of the minerals nitrogen and phosphorus. These are figures on the landings to agricultural land (animal manure, fertiliser, air deposition and other landings) and the disposal of agricultural land (nitrogen remediation of manure and disposal via crops). The loss to the bottom equals the difference between supply and discharge. For nitrogen, the table also shows the figures on the loss to air. Data available from: 1990. Status of the figures: Figures up to 2020 are final. In order to achieve a coherent and consistent time series, the complete time series is (re)calculated each year, so that the latest insights, in particular with regard to emission factors, can be included in the calculations. Amendments as of 23 December 2021: Figures for 2020 have been added. When are new figures coming? Final figures for the 1990-2021 series will be published in December 2022.
