Dataset description

The monitor shows a broad spectrum of the tourism sector numerically. This includes both stay visits and business visits using leisure facilities. From 2011 to 2015, the monitor shows the offer, the number of visitors and the importance of the sector for the local economy and employment. The stay visit (multi-days) has risen sharply, as in other major cities. On the other hand, a decline can be seen for the day visit in The Hague and the other cities. We also looked at the development of the Hague congress market and employment.
