This publication gives an overview of the development of the unemployed
and the working population, the non-occupational population,
employment rate and unemployment rate. Results about the
unemployed labour force are available according to both national and
the international definition. The data is by age and gender
published in the form of three-month averages.
In addition to the original figures on the labour force according to
national definition is also published figures that have been corrected
for seasonal influences.
The data in this publication are mainly based on the Enqu^te
Labour force and connect to the Labour accounts, an integrated
system of data on labour with a complete statistical picture
the labour market can be given.
Since the Enqu^te labour force is a sample survey,
results on the labour force an inaccuracy margin. For the
it is therefore better to assess developments about a
for a longer period of time, for example, the development of the
the past six months or the development of the same period
a year earlier. Also when looking at the developments about longer
however, periods of time must be taken into account
inaccuracy margin.
This table has been discontinued. Data are available from the
three-month period December 2000/February 2001 to March/May 2010.

the StatLine table “Employed and employed labour force per month” see
for further information, section 3.
