Motor and automotive industry; turnover development, 1995-2012

This table provides information on the evolution of the turnover of the motor and automotive industry (SBI 45). Developments are expressed in indices based on the year 2005 and in rates of development (compared to the same period of the previous year) The figures in this table differ from the figures up to the year 2008 in previously published tables. This is the result of two important changes in the statistical survey that form the basis of the results of these tables. First, the basis for the indices has been shifted from the year 2000 to 2005. Secondly, the CBS Standard Business Classification (SBI) has been revised drastically. For further information see paragraphs 3 and 4. The statistical examination which forms the basis of the results in this table has undergone a significant change from the date of publication of the first reporting period of 2013: In 2013, from reference year 2005 to 2010 (2010 = 100), the weighting factors were updated and based on the year 2010. When calculating indices, the weighting factors reflect the proportion with which the underlying outcomes count in a publication group. Because of these changes, CBS has released a new table.
