Motor vehicles active on 1 January; vehicle type, region as of 1 January 2022

This table contains data on the number of road vehicles with a Dutch registration number according to the position on 1 January, broken down by — vehicle type (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and mopeds) and — regional breakdowns (postal code, municipality and province). The municipalities (and associated postal codes) are classified on the basis of the current state of the municipal classification, in this case as from 1 January 2022. Please note: due to municipal reclassifications, comparisons with previous years may show deviations because postal codes and municipalities are classified differently than in 2022. The new figures as of 1 January 2023 will appear in the first half of 2023.
