Motor vehicles; demolition, weight class, 2000-2021

This table provides information on vehicle failure by total weight and vehicle category (passenger cars and commercial/commercial motor vehicles) and by weight class per vehicle category. This table lists Dutch passenger cars and company cars that have failed during the reporting year because the registration/registration certificate has been declared invalid due to demolition. The passenger cars and commercial cars belonging to the demolition are divided by weight class (empty weight). Vehicles belonging to demolition on 1 January of a given year (e.g. on 1 January 2009) were demolished and dismantled in the previous year. These vehicles may have participated in traffic for part of the previous year (e.g. in 2008). The data is based on information from RDW’s vehicle registration register.
