Motor vehicles of private persons; neighbourhoods and neighbourhoods, 2015

This table shows by municipality, district and neighbourhood (2015 format), figures on passenger cars, motorcycles and vehicles with moped registration in the name of natural persons (private persons). In the case of passenger cars, a breakdown is made by age of the vehicle, a breakdown by fuel type and relative numbers are included (passenger cars by household and passenger cars by surface area). All figures in this table are based on the registration number of RDW. With the help of this registration, censuses were made of all vehicles with current registration plates that appeared in the registration file on 1 January of the year in question. This neighbourhood and neighbourhood information table refers only to the number of motor vehicles in the name of natural persons (individuals). This also includes sole proprietorships, shipping companies and partnerships, as vehicles of these organisations are always in the private name of the owner. The vehicles in the name of legal persons (businesses) have not been taken into account in order to avoid distortion of the figures by large rental and leasing companies. This is in contrast to the tables “Corner figures neighbourhoods and neighbourhoods” in which all motor vehicles, including in the name of companies, are included.
