This table contains historical data from the national accounts.
For the most important macroeconomic figures such as domestic product, imports, consumption categories, labour volume and the government’s balance of claims, this publication includes long time series, including some from 1900 onwards.
Despite the aim of comparability over time, there are sometimes trend breaks in the data. This is due, among other things, to the fact that revisions have not been reworked far enough. In this historical series, trend aisles occur in the years: 1921, 1938, 1948 and 1969. This publication with historical data has about the same structure as the publication “Macroeconomic data”. More information can be found in the Historical Data section of the paper publication National Accounts.
Data available from: 1900 to 2012
Status of the figures:
The figures since 1900 are final. The two most recent years still have a (further) provisional character.
