National finances; 1900-2018

This table shows the administrative expenditures, receipts and debts of the State as included in the annual financial report of the State which is published annually in May. The annual expenditure data presented are broken down into a number of budget chapters (Ministry and Budget Funds). Financial flows between each other within a budget chapter or between different budget chapters are not consolidated in administrative expenditure and revenue. The figures therefore differ from the figures included in the National Accounts. The National Accounts are based on the international definitions of the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010). The data on debt presented relate to debt levels at the end of the year. Data available from 1900 to 2018. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 20 February 2020: None, this table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
