Dataset description

Point locations and contours of monuments in the Netherlands that have been designated by the Reich as a protected monument. These national monuments are of national significance. The data are derived from the National Monuments Register as managed by the National Agency for Cultural Heritage. A monument entered in this register has the protected status. If the designation procedure of a monument has not yet been completed, it has a pre-protected status. The distinction between built and archaeological monuments can be made by reference to the values of the earth-monument field, namely, real estate and archaeological.
