Dataset description

This dataset contains the traffic signs in Eindhoven and associated information as provided by NDW (https://docs.ndw.nu/api/trafficsigns/nl/index.html). The original dataset may contain different events per board (“events”). Possible values of such events are ‘created’, ‘updated’, or ‘deleted’. Only the most recent event is displayed on the portal unless the most recent event is “deleted”. Deleted signs are not displayed. Since this data is provided by an external source, we cannot guarantee the data quality and continuous availability of the data. Keep in mind, among other things, that: \- Not all fields are consistently filled. \- Signs may have been moved between different events of location. \- When there are multiple signs in a location, these are all included in the photo. \- To view some images, login to Cyclomedia is necessary. \- The following RVV codes are included: A, B (no BB, BE, BT, BW), C, D, E, F, G, H, J, L (https://www.verkeersbordenoverzicht.nl/). \- Bottom boards are not included (RVV series OB). \- On the A-boards there is no information about the speed shown on the board Furthermore, the attribute “road.name” often gives a general designation that is not always correct and there are problems with diacritical characters. By renaming this attribute to ‘Description indication location’, we try to indicate this uncertainty. By means of reverse geocoding we have added the attribute “Nearly address”, which can provide an additional indication. Please note that this nearby address is therefore only an indication; for road signs that are not close to homes, the nearest address is shown, this is not necessarily representative.
