The NECCST dataset includes data from 5,700 women in the Netherlands who once participated in the chlamydia screening implementation between 2008 and 2011 and then indicated that they could be approached for follow-up research on sexually transmitted diseases. This was done in 2015 as part of the Dutch chlamydia cohort study (NECCST). Through informed consent, women were given access to an online questionnaire containing questions about demographics, chlamydia history, pregnancies, long-term complications of chlamydia such as chronic abdominal pain, ectopic pregnancies, infertility, contraception and sexual risk behavior. The questions again asked in 2017 and 2019.
