In this table you will find an overview of experienced neighbourhood problems, insecurity experience and victimisation of
people based on the Safety Monitor Rijk (VMR).
It concerns neighbourhood problems (traffic nuisance, other nuisance, physical decay and social cohesion), feelings of insecurity (insecurity in general and in specific situations, avoidance behaviour), victimisation of crime (total victimisation, violent crimes and property offences).
This always concerns data on the population aged 15 years or older, unless otherwise stated. The national figures and the figures per police region are included.
Due to change in question, research design and/or context, VMR data are not comparable to data from other sources, such as the Integrated Security Monitor (IVM, from 2008 onwards) and previous safety and/or victim surveys.
This survey was carried out in the first quarter of the years 2005 to 2008.
This table was discontinued as from 15-3-2013 and continued as ‘Liability of living area; police region (IVM)’, ‘insecurity experience; police region (IVM)’ and ‘victimhood and committed offences; police region (IVM)’. See also paragraph 3.
