Dataset description

Display by means of noise contours of the Lden noise load (24-hour average) in 2006 of the roads under management at Rijkswaterstaat on 31-12-2006. Displays only the current situation in 2006 without forecasts calculated with the VenW Road Sound Model Silence 3. These noise contours have been drawn up within the framework of the EU Environmental Noise Directive. On 26 June 2007, the sound contours were established by the Minister for Transport and Water Management. By law, these noise tax cards must be developed once every five years.
