The Regional Archive Nijmegen has about 200 metres of notarial archives. For several years, a group of volunteers have been working on indexing this.
The dataset contains (d.d. 16-1-2019) more than 150,000 records with more than 300,000 people. The dataset spans a period from 1758 to 1935 and the records contain data relating to: the date of the deed; the nature of the act; the persons mentioned; the geographical locations mentioned; the organisations mentioned; references to the location within the archive. About a third of the records are also provided with scans of the deeds.
The data comes from the Digital Study Room of the Regional Archive Nijmegen and is modelled according to the A2A model. The dataset is offered via OAI-PMH harvesting.
