Overheid.nl Monitor

The Overheid.nl Monitor was launched in 1999. At that time, a total of 580 government websites were examined. This was at a time when most of the government organisations did not have a website. The number of websites examined then increased to the highest number of websites examined in the 2004 annual survey: 1,128 websites. After that, the number of websites examined decreased by aggregation and/or dismantling of organisations.The research eventually focused on ministries and decentralised government organisations. The ministries eventually came under central management, so that after 2009 there were no changes in the continuous monitor at ministries. The data per year includes results from the various annual surveys, the corresponding questionnaires and annual publications. The Overheid.nl Monitor is now closed. The data will not be updated.
