In the Netherlands, the pension system consists of three parts, which are
called pillars.The first pillar is the collective old-age pension which
it comes from the General Old Age Act (AOW).The second pillar is the
collective labour-related pension accrual.Under the third pillar
individual products of insurers fall.These can be
closed to fill (deficiencies in) the first and second pillars.
In addition to the aforementioned pillars, the assets of individuals such as savings can
and real estate is used as a retirement provision. This will be the
called the fourth pillar.
All amounts indicated are gross per year and rounded to EUR 100 and
averages per employee.
