This table contains ratios of persons in the Netherlands with a job related to the total Dutch population with similar characteristics.
Of these people, the monthly wage in quintiles is available.
In addition, of all persons in the Netherlands, the job situation in the previous four years (continuously a job, partly a job or no job) is available and information about the number of jobs the person has had in the previous four years (for everyone who had a job at a level).
The data can be broken down by gender, age, migration background and birth generation (in groups of five birth years).
The setting is always the last Friday of December before Christmas. This was measured in the years 1999 to 2011.
Everyone in the different birth generations looked at what their situation was at the different levels and what age they had at that time.
So someone who was born in, for example, 1970 was viewed at the age of 29 to 42.
The period “last four years” refers to the four years prior to this age/leveling point.
The levels themselves are not available in the table, but can be deduced.
Data available from:
Birth Generations 1935 to 1940.
