Dataset description

For persons aged 18 years or older, this table describes the distance from their biological or adoptive parent living in the Netherlands. The distance to the parent is measured across the sky from the residential community of the person. Some personal characteristics such as gender, age, household position and origin are included among the persons. Data available from: 2014 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final figures. Changes as of 4 October 2021: The underlying encoding of the label 'Position: other member' has been modified in the selection of “Personal Characteristics”. The structure and data of the table have not been modified. Changes as of 19 February 2019: The underlying coding of the “Age Person” classification used in this table has been adjusted. This is now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. The structure and data of the table have not been modified. Changes as of 19 November 2018: The underlying encodings of the ‘sex’, ‘Age person’, ‘Distance to parent’, ‘Personal attributes’ and ‘Elder’ classifications used in this table have been modified. These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. The labels ‘Distance to parent’ and ‘Older’ have been replaced by the labels ‘heaven distance from parent’ and ‘Laughter living in the Netherlands’. The terms autochtoon and immigrant have been revised. Instead, CBS is now talking about people with a Dutch background or a migration background. Therefore, the names have been adapted in this table. When are new figures coming? This is a one-time table.
