This table shows the number and proportion of persons who, at reference date, have an indication of care without and/or care with stay (AWBZ/Wlz-financed). This care was funded until 2015 by the General Act on Special Medical Expenses (AWBZ) and from 2015 by the Long-term Care Act (Wlz). It concerns only persons who are registered in the BRP at the point of reference.
As of 2015, long-term care will be partly financed by the Wlz. As of 2015, part of long-term care will be financed by other laws: the Social Support Act (Wmo) 2015, Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw) and the Youth Act.
As of 2015, only the Wlz indications and Wlz-indicables are included in this table and partner residence and the grant scheme first line, extramural treatment and ADL are excluded.
The figures are broken down by gender, age, income group and region.
Data available from 2009 to 2015
Status of the figures:
The figures for the last year are provisional, the figures for previous years are final. As this table has been discontinued, the 2015 figures will no longer be finalised.
In other tables on indications, figures for 2015 have been adjusted on the basis of adjusted registrations with the CIZ. This is not the case in this table.
Changes as of 29 December 2017:
Within the MLZ, as of reporting year 2015, it was decided not to split the figures into income groups. This table has therefore been discontinued and is not followed up by a new table.
When are new figures coming?
