This table shows the number of persons who have an indication of care without residence at reference date (AWBZ/Wlz-financed). This care was funded until 2015 by the General Act on Special Medical Expenses (AWBZ) and from 2015 by the Long-term Care Act (Wlz). As of 2015, only the Wlz indicables are included in this table and the subsidy schemes for outpatient treatment and ADL are excluded.
The preliminary quarterly figures are published on persons who have ever been registered in the Basic Persons Registration (BRP). The further provisional and final figures are published on persons registered in the BRP at reference date.
The figures are broken down by basis and function.
Data available from Q1 2009 to Q2 2017
Status of the figures:
All figures are final. The figures in this table are based on data from the Centre Indicationstelling Zorg (CIZ).
Changes as of 14 December 2018:
— The figures for 2015, 2016 and 2017 have been finalised.
— The table has been discontinued because the group of persons with an indication of care without residence ceases to exist. Until 2014 this concerned persons with an AWBZ indication for care without residence. From 1 January 2015 to July 2017 this concerned persons covered by the Wlz transfer rights, the Wlz-indicables. This transitional arrangement ends in 2017.
On 1 January 2013, the ‘Experiment of Regulatory Care Institutions’ (ERAI) was launched. These experiments affect the numbers of people in the tables. The indicative decision does not require a distinction between the type of care provided by some providers; Personal Care, Nursing or Guidance. Indications provided by healthcare providers to these providers only include the Nursing function. These experiments also lead to an underreporting of the AWBZ-functions Care without residence.
When are new figures coming?
None, this table has been discontinued.
