Rijkswaterstaat measures different types of PFAS in both surface water and suspended dust. This is done at various locations in the Dutch surface water. Poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are measured 13 times a year in Westerschelde and Canal from Ghent to Terneuzen.
Together with Rijkswaterstaat and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of Zeeland has mapped measurement data for the border locations. It concerns the measurement location Scaar van Ouden Doel in the Scheldt and the measuring point in the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal near Sas van Gent. The map shows the measured concentrations for a number of important PFAS.
