Plant protection products in agriculture; active substance, crop, application

This table contains figures on the use of plant protection products in agriculture. More specifically, this concerns the protection of plant production in professional agriculture and horticulture. The figures are broken down by crop and type of application. In addition to the total amount of resources used, the use per hectare shall also be indicated. In addition, the table contains data on the number of farms using plant protection products and the area on which these products are used. The use includes the use by contractors on the farm (work by third parties). The use will include wet ground decontamination (metam) from 2020. The underlying codings of the classifications (crops, crop sectors) used in this table are consistent with the standard coding established by the CBS. Data on the use of biological fighters are also known at the CBS. This figure can be found in another table, see paragraph 3. Data available from: 2012. Status of the figures: The figures for 2012 and 2016 are final, the figures for 2020 are provisional. Changes as at 31 March 2022: The name of a plant protection product has been changed. The name with Eurostat code H991401 Glyphosate has been changed to H991402 Glyphosate.’ Changes as of 23 December 2021: None, this is a new table. When will there be new figures? Final figures are expected in June 2022. New figures for 2024 are expected in December 2025.
