This table contains data on numbers of inhabitants, households and dwellings, proximity to facilities, areas and densities for population centres (cities and villages) in the Netherlands. A population centre consists of contiguous built-up area with residential area at its core. Former population centers can become attached to another core due to the growth of the built area. For example, built areas of Rijswijk (ZH), Voorburg, Loosduinen and Delft are part of the core Groot —’s Gravenhage. A population centre can extend to several municipalities.
Figures presented refer to the residents and homes present within these cores. No data on the area outside the cores is presented.
Data available for reporting year 2011.
Status of the figures
