This table contains figures on the population development of residents in the Netherlands according to migration background and generation.
In this table, the data can be divided into the following characteristics:
— Population on 1 January (early population) by migration background and generation;
— Population growth (total) by migration background and generation;
— Live births by migration background and generation;
— Departed from migration background and generation;
— Immigration to migration background and generation;
— Emigration to migration background and generation;
— Corrections to migration background and generation;
— Population on 31 December (final population) by migration background and generation.

Status of the figures:
All figures in the table are final.
Amendments as of 15 July 2022:
Final figures for 2021 have been added.
When are new figures coming?
In the third quarter of 2023, the figures for 2022 are included in this table.
