Population development; region per month

This table provides figures on the changes in the population of the Netherlands by region. These changes may arise from live born children, deceased persons, immigration, emigration (including administrative corrections) and other corrections. In addition, figures on total population growth, early and final population are also included. The regions listed in the table are parts of the country, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities. The regional totals presented concern counts of municipalities. In the case of border changes crossing different regional borders, the classification of municipalities is grouped according to the most recent situation. Data available from: January 2002. Status of the figures: Figures up to 2020 are final. The figures for “Population at the beginning of the period” for January 2021 are final. The remaining figures from 2021 onwards are provisional. Intermediate adjustments from previous months are possible. Amendments as of 28 October 2021: Preliminary figures for September 2021 have been added. Amendments as of 10 March 2021: Following the division of the municipality of Haaren, the provisional figures for 1 January 2021 for the municipalities of Boxtel, Oisterwijk, Tilburg and Vught have been improved. When will there be new figures? Provisional figures for the previous month shall be published at the end of each month. Intermediate adjustments from previous months are possible. In the third quarter of each year, the provisional figures for the previous year are replaced by definitive figures.
