Dataset description
This table provides information on the size and composition of the population on the 1st of the month. The observations are based on information received by CBS from the municipal population registers.
CBS reviews the tables of population and household statistics. The aim is to present the table information more clearly and to reduce the number of tables. This table will be revised in 2018.
Data available from January 1950 to January 2017.
Status of the figures:
The figures from 1 January 1950 to 1 January 2016 are final.
The remaining figures for 2016 and 2017 are provisional.
Changes as of 3 May 2019:
None, this table has been discontinued.
When are new figures coming?
The data in this table are continued in the table ‘Population at first of the month’; gender, age, migration background', see paragraph 3.
