Potential harvest of branch and top wood outside the forest

What’s there to see? The map shows the harvestable amount of branch, top and pruning wood (expressed in tonnes of dry matter per year), which comes from various types of landscape plantings (woodwalls, rows of trees, solitary trees, etc.). The quantity is shown at municipal scale level. Due to the sustainable management of the stock, the harvestable amount is limited to the annual growth of the landscape elements. The harvest and growth data are derived from the literature (Spijker et al. 2007). What’s the value? The map provides insight into the geographical distribution of the annual harvestable amount of branch, top and pruning wood in the Netherlands. Producers and wood processing companies can use this information for their business operations and strategic planning. Who is this important to?
