This map layer is part of the version of the Provincial Environment Regulation Drenthe, adopted on 3 October 2018. (According to map C2). The prohibition zone deep drilling is part of the groundwater protection areas aimed at protecting groundwater extracted for drinking water supply. In areas with clay layers in the subsoil, there is a natural protection of groundwater extraction. The prohibition zone is aimed at preventing natural protection from being compromised.)
