This publication contains financial transactions, other changes and balance sheets of the various (sub)sectors of the economy on a quarterly basis. The figures are presented in the form of (change of) receivables and debts.
The financial balance sheets reflect outstanding receivables and debts at the end of a quarter. The financial transactions and other changes reflect the changes in these receivables and debts during a
see quarters. These changes may result from agreed agreements between the parties (transactions) or have another cause such as revaluations (other changes). There is one
definition relationship between balance sheet positions, transactions and other changes, namely: final balance sheet previous period + financial transactions current period + other changes current period = final balance sheet current period.
Data for financial balance sheets, transactions and other changes are available for the main sectors of the economy, namely: non-financial corporations, financial institutions, general government, households including non-profit institutions for the benefit of households and abroad. Moreover, the sectors of financial institutions and government are still broken down by subsectors.
Financial balance sheets, transactions and other changes are available for a large number of financial instruments. All data together provide a systematic and detailed picture of the financial transactions that sectors have with each other and the resulting balance sheet positions.

Status of the figures
The annual and quarterly figures for 2009 and earlier are final. The figures for more recent quarters have a (further) provisional character.
