Dataset description

In this region, a network of 50 Historical Hiking Trails has been developed: 400 kilometers in total. These paths or remnants of them have been restored wherever possible and connected to existing hiking opportunities. This creates new, full-fledged routes. These special hiking trails run partly over old footpaths such as church, hunting and school paths and disused trade and pilgrimage routes. When composing the network, quiet (unpaved) roads and cycle paths were used as much as possible. Partly the hiking trails over farmland and through nature reserves.
