Dataset description

This table provides forecasts on the composition of young people by gender, age and region on 1 January. In this new table, the previous forecast has been adjusted based on the latest insights. The period, for which the forecast has been determined, now runs from 2019 to 2050. The figures are based on the 2018 regional breakdown. In addition to provinces and COROP areas, these are municipalities that have 50 000 or more inhabitants on 1 January 2018. Data available from: (prospective period) 2020 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are forecast figures calculated. Changes as of 4 October 2019: None, this is a new table in which the previous forecast has been adjusted based on the observations now available. The forecast period now runs from 2019 to 2050. When are new figures coming? In 2022, the new forecasts for young people by age and region will be published in a new table.
