Dataset description

This table provides forecasts on the composition of young people by gender, age and region on 1 January. The table shows the regional forecast for young people aged 0 to 25. In this new table, the previous forecast has been adjusted based on the latest insights. The forecast period now runs from 2022 to 2050. The figures are based on the 2021 regional breakdown. In addition to provinces and COROP areas, these are municipalities that have 50 000 or more inhabitants on 1 January 2021. Data available from: (prospective period) 2023 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are forecast figures calculated. Changes as of 19 August 2022: None, this is a new table in which the previous forecast has been adjusted based on the observations now available. The forecast period now runs from 2022 to 2050. When are new figures coming? In 2025, the new population projections by region will be published in a new table.
