This table shows the number of residence permits granted to non-Dutch people who do not come to the Netherlands as an asylum seeker. For example, they come to work, study or in the context of family reunification or family formation. Children of non-Dutch people who were born in the Netherlands and are not in possession of Dutch nationality also need a residence permit.
The regular licences are broken down by fixed-term and indefinite permits. The most common nationalities are presented separately in this table.
