Research and development; key figures, 2002-2010

The table contains data on the research and development (R & D) activities of companies, institutions and higher education institutions, with 10 and more persons employed, carried out with their own staff in the Netherlands. Outsourced R & D is not included in this. This concerns: — expenditure incurred on behalf of the R & D with its own staff; — the own R & D staff, shown in numbers of working years. The data relate to: — companies; — institutions consisting of: * research institutions; * national services; * institutions of care and well-being; * other settings. — Higher education institutions consisting of: * publicly funded universities; * the University Medical Centers (UMCs) where the Medical Faculty (partially) of the associated university; * Higher Vocational Education (HBO). Data available from: 2002. Status of the figures: Figures for companies, institutions and higher education institutions for 2010 are final. When are new figures coming?
