This table provides information on the use and origin of funds on the area of research and development (R & D) in the Netherlands and gives an image who actually does R & D in the Netherlands and who pays this. At the spending R & D money becomes the various R & D performers distinguished. In addition, the outsourced R & D is also described. The foreign countries are distinguished separately. At the origin of R & D funds, the main clients are distinguish as well as the national government as a more general lender for carrying out R & D. funding from abroad is also distinguished separately. The data relate to companies, research institutes and universities with 10 and more employed persons. The reference date is 31 December.
