Road Characteristics Database-WKD/Maximum Speeds

WKD is the central component for cooperative collection, storage and delivery of road characteristics and Speed data. To obtain the so-called road attributes+ (including the maximum speed), data exchange takes place with applications present at road administrators that support the road characteristics+ protocol.The road characteristics database is a collection of databases with a relevant road characteristic each. this can be linked to the national road stock (NWB).These may be road characteristics such as the maximum speed, the width of the road or the presence of entrances.
