The stocks used were produced by TNO on behalf of the province of Zuid-Holland in the context of a study on salinisation in the province (TNO report 'Determination of future salting of groundwater in South Holland, September 2004). One file displays the fluxes (mm/day) to and from the top system. ‘Another stock represents the salt concentration (mg/l) in the year 2000 at 22 metres depth. Both stocks have been converted to the stock ‘weld infiltration’ and ‘salt concentration’. ‘welfth infiltration’ distinguishes in torment, infiltration and areas where no flux is present. ‘salt concentration’ distinguishes between salt concentrations of less than 200 mg/l and greater than 200 mg/l. These stocks have been combined into the stock ‘salt loading underside covering layer’. Areas with salt content higher than 200 mg/l are classified as ‘yes’ in the last column ‘relevant’ of the stock. These maps are part of the bottom vision and are indicative maps. When zooming in on a specific area or question, it is always necessary to check whether further information is available.
