Security and detection companies

CBS has been collecting data on security since 1987. companies. From 1994 onwards, all those undertakings are observed where 5 or more people (from size 3) are employed. They are under— holdings which have as their main activity carrying out for third parties security activities. These companies include, inter alia, security services, emergency centres, control rooms, detective agencies, money and value transports and security consulting firms. Names, addresses and relevant characteristics, such as, for example, the SBI typing of in principle all companies in the Netherlands are registered in General Business Register (ABR) of CBS. The aforementioned SBI typing is a classification of economic activities, for which each undertaking may to be classified according to the nature of the economic activity which exercise.
