Social contacts and social participation; young people 15 to 25 years old

This table provides information on the participation in social activities and social participation of persons aged 15 to 25. Social activities involve contacts with family and friends and informal help that people give to others. Social participation involves participation in organisations, such as memberships of associations, association participation and volunteering. Political participation is also part of social participation. This table includes participation in political actions and political interest. All topics are broken down by gender. In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to these topics. The topics are called indicators.
