This table provides an up-to-date overview of the main statistical figures on social security.
The figures refer to benefits relating to incapacity for work, unemployment, assistance, elderly persons, survivors and
family allowances (the national insurance schemes AOW, Anw and AKW).
Data available from: January 1998.
Status of the figures:
The figures may have both a provisional, more provisional and definitive character. The monthly and quarterly figures are end-of-life figures, the annual figures are averages. In the case of assistance, the latest figures are based on an estimate and therefore provisionally. After three months, these provisional figures are overwritten by further preliminary figures. After one to two years, the figures become final.
Amendments as of 31 October 2022:
Have been added:
— the preliminary figures of the unseasonally adjusted unemployment benefits and the IOW benefits of August 2022;
— the provisional figures of August 2022 assistance and assistance-related benefits;
— the preliminary figures for the AOW and Anw benefits of September 2022.
Further preliminary have been:
— the figures of the assistance benefits and assistance-related benefits of May 2022.
Have become final:
— the figures of the unseasonally adjusted unemployment benefits and the IOW benefits of June 2022;
— the figures for the AOW and Anw benefits of July 2022;
When are new figures coming?
New figures will be released in November 2022.
