This table contains key figures on the social security of persons in the Netherlands. These come from the 2021 Security Monitor and cover the main themes: liveability and nuisance in the neighbourhood, security experience, victimisation traditional crime, victimisation online crime, citizens’ judgement of the police, and crime prevention. The data can be disaggregated by characteristics such as gender, age and educational level.
Due to changes in the questions and the research design, the results of the 2021 Safety Monitor are not simply comparable with those of the previous editions of the Safety Monitor. For more information, see the survey description ‘Security Monitor from 2012’ in section ‘4. Sources and Methods’.
