Soil-based drilling sample profile under INSPIRE

This dataset contains soil-based drilling sample profiles that have been compiled in the field at thousands of locations in the Netherlands. The drilling sample profiles are provided, among other things, with the soil type, location and drilling date. Per horizon, the horizon class is included and important characteristics, such as (field) estimations of the organic matter content and texture. Of the texture, only the estimated loam and lutum percentages are included. The starting point is that gravel, sand and clay together are 100 %. From each horizon, the upper and lower depths are also included. The litter layers (horizontal L, F, H and O) in this model are above ground level.
