Dataset description

The location of silence area-signs around silence areas in the province of Gelderland. A quiet area is a protection area referred to since 1992 in, inter alia, Article 4.9 of the Environmental Management Act, which has been designated as such by or pursuant to the Streekplan and is specified in the map annex attached to the Regulation on silence areas province Gelderland. Policies in these areas are of a preventive nature: the development of new activities causing (potential) noise pollution is primarily addressed through the spatial planning instrument (regional development plan).
