Dataset description
This table contains data per school year on school region, type and age of pupils going to primary education (primary, special primary or special school).
Data available from: 2000/'01.
The figures up to and including school year 2020/‘21 are final and the figures for school year 2021/’22 are provisional.
Changes as of 13 May 2022:
The final figures for school year 2020/“21 and the provisional figures for school year 2021/”22 have been added.
As of reporting year 2016, CBS will no longer publish data on urban regions and metropolitan agglomerations. Due to various social developments, the philosophy and method underlying the demarcation are no longer topical. The figures for the school years 2000/‘01 to 2016/’17 of this table with data on the urban regions and metropolitan agglomerations can still be requested from our information service.
When are new figures coming?
In the third quarter of 2023, final figures for school year 2021/“22 and provisional figures for school year 2022/”23 will be available.
