Staff of penitentiary establishments; gender (1994-2016)

This table shows the size of the staff of the penitentiary establishments at the reference date. In the table, the data are broken down by gender of the staff. Data available from 1994 to 2016. The reference date is September 30. Status of the figures: The data is final. Some caution is needed when interpreting the numbers. From 1994 to 2004, double counting occur because some staff perform their duties in more than one establishment and the staff size per establishment has been observed. From 2005 onwards, there is almost no question of these double counts because the observation is usually carried out per cluster (establishments). Changes as of 15 March 2018: None, this table has been discontinued. In the context of the cuts resulting from the Rutte II cabinet, CBS had to make substantive choices in the statistical programme. As a result, as of 2018, there will be no funding for this statistics. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
