This initial analysis provides information on five strategies for heating buildings without natural gas and is a tool for municipalities in developing a Transition Vision Heat. In the Climate Agreement, it is agreed that each municipality will determine in such a vision by the end of 2021 when which neighbourhoods or neighbourhoods will become natural gas-free. The initial analysis gives overall results of the national costs for alternatives to natural gas per neighbourhood and municipality in the form of a municipal report (download per municipality), a viewer (detail maps) and a data package (on request).
Municipal Report
The municipal report ‘start analysis of natural gas-free neighbourhoods’ contains a brief description of the five strategies and their variants. The report includes tables that can be downloaded per municipality (in pdf or csv). The tables are explained in the Municipal Report.
Viewer (maps)
Some of the information from the tables is made visible by means of maps. They can be viewed in the viewer with detailed maps, or on the Summary page. On the Summary page you will also find links to a brief description of each strategy.
Data package
A data package contains very detailed information for each building in a municipality and is available on request. You can send an email to [email protected]. Data packages can be used for additional analyses with other models or with a GIS tool. In most cases, it is necessary to supplement the start analysis with local data and additional own calculations.
Guidance for local analysis
The Expertise Centre for Heat (ECW) has prepared a Guide for Local Analysis that helps municipalities to apply and supplement the information from the start-up analysis.
