Stock of homes and non-residentials; mutations, function of use, region

This table contains data on the stock of homes and non-residentials and the changes therein, such as new construction and demolition. The data comes from the Basic Registration Addresses and Buildings (BAG). The non-residential units are broken down by different functions of use. The data will be further broken down by parts of the country, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities. As of October 2021, CBS has fully switched to the use of BAG 2.0. This transition will make the new statuses ‘renovation’ and ‘unjustified’ for buildings and residence objects available in the BAG. Residence objects with the new status “renovation” are included in the stock. Thanks to BAG 2.0, new distraction rules can be introduced to make the most of this new information. For example, it has become possible to better distinguish administrative corrections from physical mutations such as demolition, withdrawal or addition to the stock. With retroactive effect, from 2021 onwards, all mutations have been calculated according to these new distraction rules. The final balance remained the same for each category. Data available from January 2012. Status of the figures: The figures from 2012 to 2021 are final. The figures from January to March 2022 and the first quarter of 2022 are further provisional. The figures from April 2022 are provisional. Changes as of 28 September 2022: The preliminary figures for August have been added. When are new figures coming? The new figures will be published about 1 month after the reporting month. The final figures for 2022 will be published in May 2023.
