This table provides annual figures on the number of self-employed people who stop in the Netherlands. This concerns all persons aged 15 or over who have been self-employed in one year. Stopping means that no income as a self-employed person has been observed in the reporting year, whereas this was the case the previous year. The data can be disaggregated by gender, type of self-employed (at the time of cessation), socio-economic position at outflow or what becomes if one stops as a self-employed person, the sector (SBI 2008) in which one was employed as self-employed and the personal characteristics of age and position in the household.
